Liposuction has been a long standing method to permanently reduce and contour excess fatty deposits. Liposuction is not a substitute for healthy diet and exercise, but can eliminate stubborn areas of fat that are unresponsive to typical weight-loss methods. Find out if you are an ideal candidate for liposuction from a surgeon in your area.

W Cosmetic Surgery “The difference between what’s beautiful and what’s ugly is measured in millimeters” - Allan E. Wulc, M.D. W Cosmetic Surgery, P.C. is an aesthetic practice devoted to the improvement of appearance. Our practice is at the forefront in the evolution of all the latest procedures, and we have more than two decades of experience to know what is a fad and what really works.. We use noninvasive techniques, such as fillers and Botox, to artfully produce dramatic changes without surgery. When surgery is requested, it is performed under local anesthesia, greatly decreasing recovery time. We educate our patients before surgery to ensure optimal recovery times, and utilize many unique methods to improve healing and minimize downtime.
Cosmetic surgery is about achieving an ideal. It is about finding the beauty that is there, enhancing it, or, if it’s not there, creating it. They don’t teach you artistry in medical school, in residency, or in any other training program. You learn the techniques to peform an operationt in training, but that’s it. Artistic vision is not something that can be taught. You either have “it”, or you don’t. Dr. Allan Wulc could not be more educationally equipped to fulfill the tasks as your surgeon-- he is a quadruple Board Certified surgeon with specialized training in ophthalmology, plastic surgery, eye and facial plastic surgery, and cosmetic surgery. He is a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, an organization with only a few hundred members that certifies eye surgeons as specialists in eye and facial plastic surgery. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, and Facial Cosmetic Surgery.. Dr. Wulc was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Amherst College. Parts of his undergraduate studies were spent in Paris, where he studied painting and sculpture at the Ecole de Beaux Arts, literature at the Sorbonne, and piano performance at the Ecole Normale de Musique.
Dr. Wulc received his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, and trained in Ophthalmology at the Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania. In 1984, he was awarded a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery and Eye and Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Arizona. In 1996, he completed a year-long fellowship in supersubspecialized training in plastic surgery of the orbit (facial skeleton) at the University of London, Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Following this, Dr. Wulc spent ten years in academics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was appointed director of the Plastic and Orbital Service of the Scheie Eye Institute and the University of Pennsylvania in 1989. In 1995, he was promoted to Associate Professor and taught, performed research and established a practice limited to plastic surgery. He also went on to complete a cosmetic fellowship at the Advanced Plastic Surgery Centre in Melbourne, Florida in 1997. Dr. Wulc continues to further his reputation and his own education. He has authored over 40 papers in his specialty and has written many chapters in authoritative texts on plastic surgery. He is one of the original researchers involved in the FDA study of Botox and was one of the first to publish a study on its use for cosmetic purposes. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Wulc is on the teaching faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, at Drexel Hahnemann, and at Temple. He has trained residents and fellows internationally. He has won the prestigious Marvin Quickert Award for excellence in research. He remains actively involved in plastic surgery research projects, continues to publish and present at national meetings, and has several patents for small incision face-lifting devices and techniques.
