F.O.M.A. Career Summary
Dr. Hunt developed and maintained a successful Family and Sclerotherapy practice in Akron, Ohio for seven years, then relocated to Tampa, FL and devoted his entire practice to sclerotherapy and Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy for the treatment of Varicose Veins.
Dr. Hunt trained in California under the founder of the North American Society of Phlebology, of which he is a member. He then received specialized training in ultrasound guided sclerotherapy and has helped to pioneer advanced medical treatments for problematic veins. He has completed over 50,000 ultrasound guided treatments to date, and has the most experience and is a renowned expert in ultrasound guided sclerotherapy.
Dr. Hunt stays on the leading edge of technology and keeps The Vein Center of Tampa Bay a center of excellence. He conducted FDA-sanctioned clinical trials in 1995 for the Photoderm Pulsed Light System, being one of only eight national test site centers. Then in 1997 his center was chosen to be one of 20 initial test sites for clinical trials for the EpiLight Pulsed Light Hair Removal System.
Dr. Hunt uses the PhotoDerm to treat unsightly red spider veins, sun damaged skin, as well as vascular and pigmented discolorations on the face, legs, hands and other parts of the body. This pulsed light therapy quickly, safely and effectively removes embarrassing blemishes that affect nearly 60% of the United States population. The new additions, VascuLight and MultiLight, are pulsed laser and pulsed light therapies that complement treatments offered by PhotoDerm.
Vasculight is a break through in non-invasive leg vein and other vascular treatments for deeper, larger veins, superficial and resistant vessels. It also equips the physician to treat a broader range of vascular conditions and skin types and to more precisely customize treatments for each individual.
With MultiLight sun spots are eliminated, leaving no discoloration or whitening of the skin underneath. The patient is left with nice, homogenous skin tones. Dr. Hunt's practice was the first in the Bay area to offer these new technologies. He continues to refine the therapies he helped to develop to provide the most advanced and successful vascular treatments for his patients.
Dr. Jeffrey Hunt and The Vein Center of Tampa Bay, because of their vast experience and dedication in this field of medicine, have been chosen several times to be the host site for physicians wishing to learn about these new medical advances.
