About Dr. Laurie Deluca
As of January 2009, Esteem proudly welcomes our new Medical
Director, Dr. Laurie Deluca. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1995 and went on to study medicine at St. George’s University School of Medicine in New York City. After serving her residency in emergency medicine at SUNY in Syracuse, N.Y. from 2002-2005, she moved to Tampa, Florida and is currently practicing emergency medicine with Tampa Bay Emergency Physicians group. Dr. Deluca has received extensive training in Vaser Liposelection and will be performing this one-of-a-kind procedure right here in our South Tampa facility. She is certified in Advanced Liposuction Surgery and body contouring.
About Dr. Leanne Cross
Leanne Cross, M.D. graduated from Medical School in 1997 in the top of her class. She scored in the top two percent of the nation on the Medical Licensing Exam and was chosen to be a member of the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, by a panel of similarly honored physicians. In order to be inducted into this honor society, not only must a physician perform in the top ten percent of the nation in knowledge and skills, but must also display exemplary ethical standards. Dr. Cross has received training in Surgery, including Plastics, and Pathology, including Dermatopathology, and has additional experience in Family Medicine with a high concentration in dermatologic procedures. In addition to 5 years of intensive experience as a Non-Surgical Aesthetic Physician, Dr. Cross has also completed advanced training in techniques specific to the procedures she offers. Some of this training is directly through the companies supplying the equipment or products being used, and some is through outside advanced training courses and apprenticeship. Dr. Cross’ exceptional artistic ability and attention to detail also contribute to making her services difficult to match in overall quality and outcome. Dr. Cross specializes in using facial fillers (Sculptra, Radiesse, Juvederm, Retylane, etc.) and Botox to address not only the overt, but also the more subtle signs of aging to restore more youthful contours and proportions of the face, giving a natural, rejuvenated, more youthful look. Because of her extensive experience, she is able to offer advanced techniques such as non-surgical rhinoplasty, earlobe rejuvenation, cheek and under-eye recontouring, non-surgical chin augmentation, jawline definition, comprehensive “smoker’s lines” treatment, non-surgical browlift, and full facial volume restoration lift, in addition to the more traditional filling of the folds beside the nose and mouth and superior, natural-looking permanent lip augmentation.
About Dr. Eleanor Barone
Dr. Barone is a graduate of the New York's Columbia University. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1992.
For the next seven years, she attended the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. During her post-graduate training there, she completed her internship and surgical residency and was appointed Chief Resident. She remained at the Medical College to complete a two-year research fellowship, studying chronic wounds, scarring and healing. She presented her findings at multiple medical conferences for the American College of Surgeons, Plastic Surgery Research Council and the International Wound Healing Congress in Italy, among others. Dr. Barone completed her plastic surgery residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. She then re-located to Florida and worked in private practice, there and in Hawaii, for many years. Dr. Barone joined Advanced Dermatology, P.C. and the Center for Laser & Cosmetic Surgery in 2007. She is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Louise Short, Esteem's Medical Aesthetician, began her career in England by achieving the prestigious CIDESCO diploma, an internationally recognized degree in the Esthetics field. She opened her own business in England which led to an opportunity in the Middle East where she pioneered a Spa for the Diplomatic Community in Amman, Jordan.
She worked and traveled extensively with her husband, a US military officer. Her work experience included Spas in Washington DC; Pinehurst, NC; and Georgia. In Tampa, Louise managed the Esthetics department at Spa Malia, worked for a local plastic surgeon, and directed the Spa Department at Marcelina, a private women's club.
More recently she was employed at the Red Door Spa at Saks Fifth Avenue. She then invested her knowledge and training into Esthetics students at a local training school. Louise brings her thirty years of experience to direct Esteem Med Spa and she has the vision to establish and maintain Esteem Med Spa as the foremost location for luxurious yet highly technical cutting edge treatments.
Louise plans to take this most beautiful Spa to the next level by customizing every clients beauty and wellness needs until the desired results are attained.
