Fraxel is the most advanced laser treatment for skin available anywhere - if your skin is damaged from the sun or you have uneven pigmentation and fine lines, this is a groundbreaking new treatment designed especially for you.

You can tell the difference immediately after your first Fraxel treatment that your skin is softer and smoother. Lines and age spots fade and eventually disappear.

Fraxel is unique because of how the treatment actually does what it does. The laser produces thousands of tiny localized treatments known as MicroThermal Zones. During the process, collagen and elastin are regenerated and about 20% of the skin is resurfaced with each session.

The collagen is also stimulated and increases tone and firmness.

Side effects of treatment by Fraxel laser are minimal and do not require any downtime. Some patients experience slight swelling and redness, but this should fade in a day or two. Treatment is not painful and feels like a prickly sensation. A mild anesthetic lotion maybe applied to reduce discomfort.

September of 2007 brought the introduction of the Fraxel Skin Ecology System, a skincare line specifically formulated and dermatologist-tested to enhance the experience of Reliant's Fraxel laser treatment, a skin rejuvenation therapy that provides patients with effective, consistent results without significant downtime and risk of complications.

The Fraxel Skin Ecology System is a physician-dispensed cosmeceutical line that includes deep hydration masks, green tea infusion masks, antioxidant infusion serum, foaming cleanser, daily moisturizer (SPF 30) and hydrating night cream.

All components are formulated to enhance the experience of the Fraxel treatment by moisturizing, cooling and protecting the skin throughout the patient's Fraxel treatment cycle and beyond as part of a healthy skincare regimen. In July, 2005 the Fraxel laser was FDA approved for a condition called Melasma, a condition which occurs on the sun exposed face and nose of affected patients, typically women of child-bearing age.
