Dr. Kristiansen has been actively practicing medicine since she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical Health Center in New York in 1988.
She is constantly keeping up-to-date with non-surgical alternatives for facial rejuvenation and anti-aging, from the most renowned experts in the field.
After having trained in MESOTHERAPY here in the US and gained a solid foundation of knowledge and technique, Dr. Kristiansen traveled to France to study under the renowned physician in the mesotherapy world, Dr. Jacques Le Coz. The experience gained from working directly with Dr. Le Coz in his clinic, has put Dr. Kristiansen in the forefront of this exciting field.
Dr. Kristiansen is the only physician in New England, who performs all contemporary leg vein treatments, including the two newest technologies: VNUS Closure® and EVLT™ (Endovenous Laser Treatment). She has performed hundreds of Closure® and EVLT™ procedures since they were FDA approved in 2000, all with very successful results. Dr. Kristiansen has been actively practicing medicine for over 15 years. She has been trained by nationally recognized physicians in the field of Phlebology (the treatment of Leg Vein problems) and has also worked at the Wound Care Center at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro MA for two years (non-healing leg ulcers are often a result of untreated varicose veins).
Dr. Kristiansen is trained and certified in the various treatment methods of varicose vein and spider veins and the usage of the hi-tech equipment needed in the procedures, including Laser Treatment, Sclerotherapy, Ambulatory Phlebectomy, Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy, Closure® Procedure, EVLT™ and Transilluminated Powered Phlebectomy. Dr. Kristiansen is an active member of The American College of Phlebology and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Kristiansen completed her Residency at Lincoln Medical Health Center Hospital in New York in 1988 and is board certified in Internal Medicine.
