Alexander J. Covey, MD

Dr. Alexander Covey is a nationally renowned cosmetic surgeon, author, lecturer and the director of East End Laser Care in Manhattan, Southampton, and Center Moriches, New York. He is board certified in cosmetic surgery has been practicing medicine and performing cosmetic procedures since 1988. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Laser Surgery, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is also a member of the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Meso-Lipo Society, and the New York Medical Society. Dr. Covey is an attending physician at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, New York.
Dr. Covey’s long list of credentials and years of cumulative experience have earned him national recognition as an expert in the field of cosmetic surgery. He has dedicated himself to learning and teaching the latest and most advanced techniques in cosmetic treatments and gives informational seminars to physicians and patients about alternatives to plastic surgery. Dr. Covey has been named one of the “Top Doctors in New York” for the last five years by the Castle Connolly Guide and has been named one of “America’s Top Physician” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. He has written 2 books “Forget the Knife: A Complete Guide to Cosmetic Rejuvenation Without Surgery” (Mill City Press, 2007) and “Ageless Beauty: An Insider’s Guide to Advanced Alternatives to Plastic Surgery” (Mill City Press, 2009), written articles and has been quoted by numerous national and local publications.
Dr. Covey donates both resources and services to charities such as the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, for which he had been known to offer free treatments to domestic violence victims who couldn’t otherwise afford them; Family Service League, which helps underprivileged children; and Ellen’s Run to benefit breast cancer awareness and prevention. Dr. Covey lives in Long Island, New York, with his wife and children. In his free time he can sometimes be found incognito playing jazz piano at local restaurants and clubs.
