Ben M. Treen, MD

Ben M. Treen, MD is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Ben M. Treen is the principal physician for Advanced Dermatology and Laser Center.

Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and licensed to practice in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Louisiana, he is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and a honors graduate of the University of Georgia.

Dr. Treen completed a residency in Internal Medicine at New Orleans' Oschner Medical Foundation, and a residency in Dermatology at Louisiana State University Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident of Dermatology.

The author of numerous articles published in scientific, educational, and medical journals, Dr. Treen speaks frequently at national and international conferences. A recognized authority in the areas of cosmetic and laser procedures, he often trains groups of physicians at our facility in Piedmont, SC. Dr. Treen is on staff as a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Louisiana State University Medical Center, and serves as the South Carolina State Chair for the Dermatology Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to raising funds for dermatologic research. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Ben M. Treen has been practicing dermatology in Greenville since July 1988. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1982. Dr. Treen completed a three year residency in Internal Medicine at Oschner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and a three year Dermatology Residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center where he was Chief Resident of Dermatology.

Dr. Treen is a board certified dermatologist. He is a member of the American Society of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, The Internal Society of Dermatology, American College of Cryosurgery. Southern Medical Association, The Dermatology Foundation and the Piedmont Dermatological Society.

Dr. Treen is committed to providing the latest advances and techniques for his patients. He updates his skills and knowledge by staying current with medical literature as well as attending continuing education classes and seminars.
