A Neck Lift, also known as a Platysmaplasty, is a surgical procedure to address sagging skin and excess fat around the neck and jaw line. Weakened muscles may be removed, repaired and/or tightened during the surgery and loose skin is removed to give a firm and defined jawline. The Neck Lift may be performed in conjunction with a Face Lift but both can be done separately. Results should appear natural and the average recovery time for this procedure is 3 to 4 weeks, and it is important to not do any strenuous activity during this time.
