With age, the skin of the face slowly loses elasticity, causing wrinkles and a mildly drooping brow. The accompanying creases and lines can present a sad, old or tired appearance. Other factors can help intensify those negative effects, including sun exposure, weight fluctuations and heredity. With a forehead lift, these problems may be resolved by surgically altering the muscles and tissues that cause wrinkling and/or drooping in the area above the eyes.
