Barbara D. Marino, M.D., FACOG, is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a Gynecologic Oncologist, she has performed thousands of surgeries. Dr. Marino is also a Member of the International Society of Cosmetogynecologists, the American Academy of Anti-Aging, and the American Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Marino graduated from the Medical College of Ohio where she received
the Alfred H. Bilstein Award for being the top student in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio which is an affiliate program of The Ohio State University.
Dr. Marino was the first physician to complete a four year program of basic research combined with clinical training in gynecologic oncology
at The MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Marino has continued her education and has consistently been the first to offer new technology as they are developed. She was the first in the area to embrace endometrial ablations and currently offers this exciting and minimally invasive procedure in her office (Her Option cryotherapy, Novasure Endometrial ablation and Thermachoice.)
She was the first in the North Houston area to offer Essure for permanent sterilization and is again the forerunner with offering HPV testing and prevention with the Gardisil Vaccine which became FDA approved in June 2006. Most recently, she is excited to introduce the latest technological advance in the removal of unwanted fat and will serve as the training center for Texas for the SmartLipo which is currently available in her office.
