Smart Lipo, or Laser Lipolysis, is a new fat-melting technique, an alternative to liposuction. It can help patients lose a size or two with little down time, and without the usual effects of loose, bumpy skin associated with traditional liposuction. Instead of vacuuming fat from parts of the body, Smart Lipo melts away fat cells.
Smart Lipo was approved here in the U.S. by the FDA in October 2006, after widespread use over several years in Italy and South America.
