Accent Your Body’s Dual-Layer RF Technology Yields Tighter Skin in Less Time

Alma Laser's Accent XL offers skin tightening and fat contouring with minimal downtime. The Accent is also effective on reducing the appearance of Cellulite.

Over time, our skin progressively loses the collagen that keeps our skin tight and smooth. The Accent Your Body thermotherapy system may not be the fountain of youth, but it does provide patients with tighter, smoother, younger looking skin in just a few treatments. Accent Your Body uses dual-layer radio frequency (RF) thermotherapy to stimulate the production of collagen and achieve smoother, tighter skin. While other systems also use RF energy to regenerate collagen, Accent Your Body is the only system that uses both unipolar and bipolar RF technology. The unipolar RF energy penetrates deeper into the dermis, heating the tissue and regenerating collagen, while the bipolar RF energy concentrates on the surface of the skin, making it appear smoother instantly. Accent Your Body can be used to treat any area of the body, but it is especially effective on areas of thinner skin, such as the face and neck. It can also be used to firm skin on the abdomen, chest, thighs, arms and breasts. Accent Your Body is useful in the reduction of wrinkles, sagging skin and even cellulite.

Denver Plastic Surgeon Dr. Gregory Buford is pleased with the results he achieves using the Alma Accent Laser for treating loose skin on patients who received VASER Lipo Selection or other Body Sculpting treatments. In a recent interview, Dr. Buford stated "...my patient's are very satisfied with my ability to tighten skin and contour fat with minimal to no downtime using the Alma Accent."

Most patients experience little to no discomfort during the treatment and liken the experience to a warm massage, although some patients may be more sensitive to the heat. Accent Your Body is safe procedure with side effects occurring very rarely. Patients may notice a slight redness in the area that was treated, but this should disappear within 24 hours of treatment. Normal activities can be resumed immediately.

Treatment time varies depending on which area is being treated, but typically takes no longer than 45 minutes. Patients usually require from three to five treatments performed at two-week intervals. Results can be seen after the first treatment and steadily improve over time. Patients should enjoy long-term results after the treatment series is complete.
