Dermasound discussed on CBS "The Doctors"

Laser Skin Resurfacing has another new tool with the GlyMed Plus Dermasound Elite, which was featured on "The Doctors" on January 5, 2009

On the show the Dermasound, a ultrasound resurfacing device, is used to treat sun damaged skin and red and brown spots.

According to the company's website, the GlyMed Plus DERMASOUND™ ELITE is a cutting edge technology that utilizes low frequency sound waves in a three-stage system for safer mechanical exfoliation, product and ingredient penetration, and healing micro amp therapy to Combat Aging Skin, Reduce Wrinkles, Clear Acne, Manage Rosacea, Control Hyperpigmentation, in addition to many other skin challenges.

The DermaSound treatment usually begins as three sessions, with a follow-up session once a month. Each treatment costs $100 to $200.

The most popular skin resurfacing in 2008 on American Health and Beauty was the Fraxel laser and other Fractional Resurfacing lasers including the new fractional CO2 lasers.
