Band Aid Mini Facelift Developed by Plastic Surgeon John L. LeRoy, MD can Help Patients Look Younger for Less Money

In a down economy, many individuals who would like to diminish the signs of facial aging through cosmetic plastic surgery procedures tend to shy away from traditional facelift procedures. A renowned plastic surgeon in the Atlanta area says a less expensive and easier alternative can still achieve a patient’s goals: the Band Aid Mini Facelift.

(Vocus/PRWEB ) March 19, 2009 - Dr. John L. LeRoy is a board certified Atlanta, Georgia cosmetic plastic surgeon who has spent decades performing facelift and body contouring procedures to help patients look and feel better about themselves as they age.

In 1997, Dr. LeRoy came up with a new aesthetic enhancement procedure designed for patients who were less inclined to have invasive facelift surgery or who were not exhibiting major signs of aging, but could benefit from a light surgical procedure that would effectively diminish wrinkles and lines in the face.

The procedure came to be known as the Band Aid Mini Facelift.

"You can apply it specifically to younger patients or older patients. Primarily the patient’s somewhere between 45 and 55, who doesn’t really need that removal of excess skin that you would with a traditional facelift."

The Band Aid Mini Facelift is performed using fewer, and smaller, incisions than those traditionally used in facelift surgery.

Dr. John L. LeRoy can address problem areas such as smile lines or excess fat in the neck, as well as reduce the appearance of jowls and wrinkles along the face.

In the current economic slump, Dr. LeRoy says the Band Aid Mini Facelift has several distinct benefits, not least of which is the price.

"The advantages are local anesthesia, less recovery time, less bruising, less swelling, and the cost is about half of a traditional facelift."

In addition to new patients who are considering less expensive, less invasive facial enhancement options, Dr. LeRoy says individuals who have already had facial surgery are some of his most frequent Band Aid Mini Facelift patients.

"Somebody who’s already had a facelift who just needs a little touch-up."

Dr. LeRoy says his Atlanta Band Aid Mini Facelift patients typically have only a three-to-five day recovery period.

The procedure is one of cosmetic plastic surgery’s great success stories of the last several years, and is known for its intricacy and effectiveness.

"It is real surgery but it is manageable, and the effects are manageable too. Patients would say, 'I want to look like me ten years ago,' and that can be achieved with the Band Aid Facelift."

Dr. John L. LeRoy performs face lift surgery in Atlanta, Georgia at St. Joseph’s hospital.

He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
