Cosmetic Surgeon Introduces NewLift, a Breakthrough Facelift for the Rest of Us
San Francisco-based cosmetic surgeon David Kahn announces a revolutionary new facelift procedure called the NewLift. The NewLift is a less invasive, safer, faster, and more affordable alternative to traditional facelift. It can be completed in an hour and a half under local anesthesia, requires a short recovery period, and produces minimal scars and beautiful, natural-looking results. Dr. Kahn is a board-certified expert in facial rejuvenation procedures, with over 25 years of experience in this field.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 11, 2009 - Dr. David Kahn, a well-known San Francisco cosmetic surgeon, is excited to announce that his practice is now offering a revolutionary new facial rejuvenation procedure, called the NewLift. As opposed to traditional facelift procedures, the NewLift is less invasive, safer, takes less time to perform, has a shorter recovery period, and produces truly natural-looking results.
The NewLift also represents a more affordable alternative to the full facelift, making it accessible to many patients who may have wished for, but could not have considered a facelift before. The NewLift is meant to significantly improve facial contours, lower face and neck. It addresses problems such as neck fullness and turkey waddle appearance, and the loss of the jawline curve.
The NewLift can also reduce some facial wrinkles, such as the creases between your nose and mouth.
In order to achieve these results, Dr. Kahn uses an advanced combination of excess fat removal (liposuction), tightening of the underlying facial and neck muscles, and repositioning of the facial and neck skin. While many patients are reluctant to undergo a traditional face lift for fear of ending up with an overly pulled, "caught in the wind tunnel" look, the NewLift addresses this concern by providing softer, more natural-looking results. Following the NewLift procedure, your appearance will not disclose that you have had any work done - instead, you will look more youthful, glowing, and "well-rested". A full facelift typically requires general anesthesia, and takes about 4 hours to perform. By contrast, Dr. Kahn can perform the NewLift in about an hour and a half and will use local instead of general anesthesia. This minimizes unnecessary risks and represents a safer alternative for the patient. The local anesthesia involves numbing injections in the face and neck, and is similar to what is usually done at a dentist's office, except that the numbing area is larger. While full facelifts are often associated with significant incisions along the patient's hairline, the NewLift requires only a suture in front and behind each ear. This makes the procedure less invasive and leads to minimal scarring. It also creates an area of bruising and swelling much smaller than a traditional face lift does, and shortens the recovery period to about a week. A week after your surgery you can return to your regular work activities. While recovering, you will not be constrained to bed and can be up and around the day following the surgery. You do, however, need to avoid exercise, lifting, and straining for 2 weeks. Most patients feel comfortable stepping out in public and wearing makeup a week after surgery, even though the healing continues after that. About a month after the surgery, you should have a fairly good idea of what your results look like. Despite being considerably safer and less invasive than a traditional facelift, Dr. Kahn's NewLift can nevertheless achieve over two thirds of the results produced by a full facelift. At the same time, the cost of the NewLift is much less than the cost of a traditional facelift, making it affordable to a larger range of patients.
