(PRLEAP.COM) Bellevue, WA. – May 11, 2009 – Award-winning plastic surgeon Philip Young unveiled the VolumeLift, a safer less-invasive procedure to reverse the signs of aging and reveal a younger and natural face. As you age, you lose volume in your face, which eventually creates a saggy aging appearance. Traditional facelifts were the best way to improve the aging face, but facelifts can result in a diminished, forced or unnatural look. One way to think of aging is to imagine that your face is a grape and as you age, your face loses volume and resembles a raisin. Awards and Charity Work Among Dr. Young’s achievements is the Sir Harold Delf Gillies award from the American Academy of Facial and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery for best scientific paper 2005 for his theory on beauty. "Facial beauty starts with the eye and from each individual’s iris, I calculate their ideal eyebrow height, cheek volume, lip and nose size and all areas in between," said Dr. Young. His theory has been used and acclaimed by his plastic surgeon peers around the world and is the basis for his beautiful results.

Dr. Young’s work does not end when he leaves his Bellevue office. In addition to caring for his patients and developing new techniques, he also performs charitable work around the world for Face To Face, an international organization dedicated to connecting doctors to patients who would not normally have access. In 2008, Dr. Young spent several weeks on a mission in China, repairing birth defects and injuries caused by trauma. Back in his Bellevue office, he has performed procedures to help ease injuries caused by domestic violence.
