Taking 10 Years Off Your Face
Great tips for how to take off 10 years on The Doctors.
Aging brings about many changes in the body, some subtle and some drastic. Though we may like the wisdom that comes with age, most of us could do without the wrinkles and sagging skin. On today's episode of The Doctors, they share some insight on how to take the years away. The Doctors discuss some of the difficulties with the aging process; a slower metabolism, wrinkles and drooping skin, and our reproductive health. They go over several tips of simple diet and exercise changes that can improve your overall health as well as how you look. At 25, Jennifer has noticed that it is already difficult to lose weight and though she maintains a healthy diet and exercise program, there is some fat that just won't seem to go away. Jennifer opted to undergo Body-Jet Liposuction. This technique uses water to separate the fat from the surrounding tissues making it easier to then suction the fat out and provide results that some say are better than those of traditional liposuction.
The Doctors also feature Lynette who is in her fifties. She says that ever since she reached her fiftieth, people ask her if she's tired often. Though she feels healthy, her sun damaged skin and sagging in the neck make her look years older than she is. Dr. Drew Ordon explains that as we age, we no longer produce collagen and elastin, two important fibers for maintaining skin elasticity. As we begin to lose collagen and then the elastin is no longer lined up properly, the sagging begins. Dr. Ordon performed a facelift on Lynette and reveals her new look on the show. Her sun damage was removed using a fractional resurfacing treatment and she also had her upper and lower eyelids done. A full face/neck lift was performed, removing several deep wrinkles from her face and tightening up the neck. Dr. Vonda Wright, author of "Fitness after 40" shows some great exercises that can help you to look and feel healthy and younger. She also says there are 4 things we need every day; Resveratrol which can be found in grapes or wine has been found to have anti-aging benefits, Green Tea which is a powerful anti-oxidant, Omega fish oils for joint health and finally, 7 grams a day of Dark Chocolate.
