Thermage CPT - Great Skin Tightening Results With Minimal Discomfort
Innovations Medspa completes clinical study on new Thermage CPT system.
Dallas, TX—August 18, 2009 — Dr. Bill Johnson, owner of Innovations Medspa, the most experienced Thermage practice in the United States, has announced he has completed a clinical study for Thermage on the new Comfort Pulse Technology (CPT) system. Innovations Medspa performed 15 face procedures within a two day period to study the discomfort reduction of the new technology. CPT revolutionizes Thermage by using multiple technologies to help reduce discomfort felt during treatment. The combination of these technologies has allowed patients to undergo a face Thermage procedure without medications, and with minimal discomfort.
“Thermage puts an enormous amount of thought and effort into their projects and their most recent technology is a testament to that drive,” says Dr. Bill Johnson.
The new CPT technology helps lessen discomfort in 3 ways:
1. Vibration – A new vibrating handpiece offers a clinically proven improvement in patient comfort. In controlled, split-faced clinical studies, comparing treatment of over 40 patients with vibration to treatment without vibration, all patients preferred being treated with vibration.
2. Coolant/Heat Rotation – Less wasted heat (less “spillage” of heat). The new energy delivery algorithm interweaves pulsed radiofrequency delivery with cooling bursts mimicking Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation ("TENS") therapy, to disrupt the brain's neural response and improve comfort during treatment.
3. Edge Heat Border – Since there is less spillage, the “edge heat” that patients most complain about is reduced dramatically. The heat is now concentrated directly into the tissue being treated. Higher heat allows for more collagen denaturing. Dr. Johnson states, “The ability to perform a quality Thermage procedure without the use of medications is a great help to my practice and to my patients. Patients can now have the option of driving themselves.” Dr. Johnson and Innovations Medspa have performed more Thermage procedures than any other practice in the United States in the last two years. Due to this achievement, Innovations Medspa has been recognized as the #1 Thermage practice in the United States. In 2008 and 2009, Innovations MedSpa was the only practice in Fort Worth to receive the Pinnacle Award, the highest award given by Thermage. “One of the most exciting things about the new 16.0 Comfort Tip is that it has an extra 100 pulses per tip. We can now treat the same areas with fewer tips, and that means big price breaks for patients!” says Dr. Johnson The latest breakthrough in non-invasive skin tightening, the Thermage CPT System takes full advantage of Thermage’s Comfort Pulse Technology™, coupled with a new, vibrating hand piece to deliver more comfortable treatments. The new, enhanced energy distribution technology enables Innovations Medspa to deliver more therapeutic heat for better results. New system benefits include: Consistently beautiful results, with more heat delivery to the treatment area.
Enhanced procedural comfort with proprietary Comfort Pulse Technology.
