"The Doctors" Talk Beauty on Today's Show
Hand lifts, Cinderella surgery, changing your eye color forever are just a few of the topics on "The Doctors."
The non-surgical facelift consists of a series of injections of facial fillers designed to pump up the areas of the face that lose their fullness over time. Specifically the under-eye area, cheekbone, the brow, around the mouth, and the back of the jaw. The show features Sue who wants a younger look without going under the knife. Dr. Stephen Mulholland performs the treatment called Volumalift, helping Sue look years younger. Also, 35 year old Melissa undergoes surgery for her painful bunions. Podiatrist Dr. Ali Sadrieh performs the procedure in which he removes the bunions and brings the other side of the foot inward, creating a more narrow foot. Also, Dr. Sadrieh explains that bunions are genetic but can be avoided with proper foot care and wearing supportive shoes. Dr. Drew Ordon performs a hand rejuvenation procedure on Marsha who was concerned about her hands giving away her true age. Dr. Ordon notes that the hands do say a lot about a person. They are an exposed part of the body and over the years lose their full quality, exposing the bones, veins and tendons under the surface. Dr. Ordon performs the procedure using fillers and lasers, followed by a hand-lift; making an incision on the pinky side of the hand and tightening the skin across the top.
Finally, The Doctors discuss Air Therapy, a lymphatic massage that chiropractor Dr. Kenneth Best states helps clear the body of toxins so that the body can begin burning fat. Kim wanted to lose inches in some targeted areas before her 10th anniversary. After the therapy, she ate properly and lost an inch from her waist and 2.1 pounds. Dr. Best states that it is important to eat properly after having the procedure in order to achieve the full effects.
