Syneron Buying Rival Laser Company Candela

In a stock deal estimated at $65million dollars, Israel based Syneron will purchase the American company for around $2.84 per share

Syneron makes a range of radiofrequency and laser devices like VelaShape, LipoLite & the eMatrix. This acquisition should give Syneron an increased base in the Medical Spa industry with more laser hair removal and skin treatment technologies. Candela products include the GentleLASE & the Smoothbeam.

The combination of Syneron and Candela brings together two well-respected industry leaders in aesthetic medical devices," said Louis P. Scafuri, Chief Executive Officer of Syneron.
