Beauty Buzz: The Month in Review, October 2009
| With Halloween just a day away, let's all remember, tomorrow's chocolate is next year's lipo! | |
Zerona was the most researched procedure for the third month in a row. However, SmartLipo lead the Body Sculpting category and BOTOX the Wrinkle Fighters as the procedures about which the most AHB doctors were contacted.
Non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures remain very popular as educated consumers choose to avoid surgery even if it means results that may not be as good as surgery. There's even a non-surgical eyelift procedure that we learned about yesterday. This week we were introducted to Natural Breast Augmentation, an enticing procedure that moves the fat from here to there. Fat Transfer and Stem Cell technology is new and exciting. This month we learned a great deal about Botox for excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis. We've seen a steady traffic increase over the last few months, possibly a sign that the bottom is behind us and the aesthetic industry can expect some rebound.Valerie Bertinelli took the cake this month as our article about her new book and struggles with weight was our number one story. We hit 1,500 Twitter followers this month! Follow @AmHealthBeauty on Twitter to add your name to our ever-growing list and become a Fan of American Health and Beauty on Facebook. The end of October is the end of breast cancer awareness month. We urge women to remember to do their self breast exams every month around the same time. Check out feelyourboobies.com for some great self-exam information. THIS MONTH'S TOP 5 ARTICLES
