Valerie Bertinelli is sharing her story and work out tips on The Rachael Ray Show. She's got a new book out "Finding It: And Satisfying My Hunger for Life Without Opening the Fridge," and a work out video, "Losing It and Keeping Fit." 
Valerie lost 40 pounds with the help of Jenny Craig after she had reached her heaviest - 170 pounds. After dropping the pounds she was featured on the cover of People magazine in a bikini at 48 years old. More than a year later, regular exercise and a healthy diet is Valerie's secret to keeping the fat away. Valerie found help with Jenny Craig, but many turn to medical weight loss or gastric bypass surgery to lose the pounds. Also, people often have trouble with sagging skin after significant weight loss and turn to a tummy tuck or body lift to remove the excess fat and skin and really give the look they were trying to achieve. Laser lipolysis procedures such as SmartLipo or SlimLipo do double duty for ridding the body of a small amount of loose skin but are not meant for removing large amounts. For those who have lost a lot, liposuction combined with tummy tuck is generally the most helpful.
