Laser Eye Surgery Opens Your Eyes to Wrinkles
Recently improved eyesight may come with the price of seeing previously hidden wrinkles.
Many Laser Eye Surgery patients are excited to be able to wake up in the morning and see the alarm clock without glasses for the first time. However, this eye opening surgery often has an unintended effect: you and others may suddenly find your wrinkles a lot more noticeable. Without glasses covering up a part of the forehead, many patients are disturbed to find more visible fine lines, wrinkles and crows' feet. With recently improved eyesight, often comes the price of seeing previously hidden wrinkles.
Botox may provide the solution. Botox can treat wrinkles and crows’ feat around the eyes, as well as forehead creases and frown lines. It can also treat smile lines, lip lines and vertical necklines. An experienced plastic surgeon must perform the procedure and takes approximately ten minutes. Essentially, down time is short and sessions can even be scheduled for lunch breaks. Paired with the diminutive procedure time, relatively minimal pain, and effects that last for approximately four months, Botox is a popular option. While Botox can provide a great new look to complement a glasses-free face, it is not without risks. Often short term, common side effects may include an allergic reaction to Botox, numbness or tingling in the area where the Botox was injected, eyelid drooping, headache or nausea, and flu-like symptoms. For those who have had laser eye surgery and find these new-found wrinkles an unpleasant sight, consulting a board certified plastic surgeon may be the next step in your self-improvement journey.
