Medaderm Facial Treatments
Non-surgical wrinkle treatments are increasingly popular as people try to avoid the cost and downtime associated with surgery. Medaderm treatment is one option available that provides wrinkle reducing results.
A Medaderm facial treatment is a procedure that uses an Erbium laser, a form of patented energy, to rejuvenate and exfoliate the skin. The procedure is considered a variation of Intense Pulsed Light therapy and MicroDermabrasion. It provides a mellower, less invasive alternative to extreme facelifts and harsh chemical peels and patients report that the results are very similar to the more 'harsh' procedures.
How it Works The Erbium laser uses beams of light energy at wavelengths that can be absorbed by water. As the energy beams come into contact with the skin, the upper layers of the skin evaporate instantly, causing exfoliation of tissues. This results in smoother, softer, and healthier skin. The laser also mobilizes water found in spaces at the skin’s surface, enabling the remaining skin cells to expand into the vacated space previously occupied by water. This results in tighter and noticeably rejuvenated skin. Recovery The Medaderm procedure is virtually pain-free and patients who undergo treatment can expect only minor discomfort after the procedure. Patients report feeling a mild sting during the first few hours after the Medaderm application, which can be relieved by applying a cold compress. Facial redness should also be expected. Some portions of the skin may appear more inflamed than other areas. The redness will diminish as the skin regenerates and peels, revealing smoother and younger-looking skin. Generally topical creams and moisturizers should be avoided after the procedure, although some doctors may recommend the use of a facial scrub to help exfoliate the skin. Results Complete skin rejuvenation and recovery usually takes between five and seven days. Results are instant but not permanent. Doctors recommend patients complete a regimen of three to four Medaderm sessions to maximize and maintain its many benefits. Many have already embraced this breakthrough technology. Doctors report that the Medaderm laser is easy to use as it is fast, requires no calibration, has varying power and speed options for absolute control, and is low in maintenance. For its growing number of loyal followers, Medaderm provides pain-free treatment and instantly visible results with no scars, wounds, incisions, injections, or bleeding and with no downtime.
