Radiofrequency Body Contouring System Reaction by Viora Receives Health Canada Certification
Viora Reaction, a new cellulite treatment system on the horizon has received Health Canada certification
Viora announced today they have received Health Canada’s certification for the first ever multi-frequency radio-frequency medical device for body contouring, the Reaction.
Viora’s Reaction system with its CORE technology delivers vacuum therapy along with variable RF energy. Using three treatment frequencies as well as a multi-frequency mode incorporating all frequencies simultaneously provides the aesthetic professional the ability to precisely target specific skin depths, a combination that delivers immediately visible results.
The availability of different frequencies optimizes the thermal effect at different tissue depths and improves treatment accuracy and flexibility for the practitioner. “We are confident in the Reaction™’s ability to bring a true revolution in body contouring treatments and we are witness to incredible results every day,” says Viora CEO Josef Luzon in a press release. In tests, patients who underwent a skin tightening treatment course demonstrated an 81 percent improvement in wrinkles and skin laxity. A similar study evaluated the performance of CORE technology for cellulite reduction. Patients showed a 55 percent improvement in the appearance of cellulite. According to Viora, patients can expect to see results in just one session, the treatment is pain free, and can be used just about anywhere on the body. The Reaction uses a combination of vacuum therapy and radio frequency technology. What sets this machine apart is the Core technology. The Core integrates multiple frequencies and can target many different areas of the body, including the arms, buttocks, face, neck, legs, stomach, hips and thighs. Different skin depths require different frequency penetration which is key in cellulite improvement and skin tightening. Treatment sessions are typically around 20-30 minutes and 4-8 sessions are generally recommended. The Reaction™ has received its FDA clearance on July 2009.
