Lumenis M22 Offers IPL, Age Spot Reduction and Laser Hair Removal

Lumenis, the inventor of intense pulse light therapy (IPL) technology has another new offering for the world of cosmetic improvements. The new latest product, dubbed the M22, is a multi-application platform designed for permanent hair reduction, photo-rejuvenation, and the reduction of age spots and varicose veins. Offering both IPL and Nd:YAG laser therapy, the portable tabletop machine offers the broadest range of energy frequencies within the size class.

OPT technology, exclusive to Lumenis IPL, provides physicians with optimum choices to deliver the appropriate pulse for any application. As Dr. Matthew Knight, FAAD of Knight Dermatology Institute in Orlando, FL observed, "it's set up for expansion, allowing for the treatment of multiple skin conditions with one device."

Physicians are able to control the pulse shape of the light in order to allow hair reduction on darker skin patients, and reduce the chances of skin damage in lesion treatment. The ND:YAG upgrade model also allows for precision treatment of vascular legions, non-ablative facial wrinkle treatment, and treatment of leg veins.

The machine comes out of the box ready to use, and has both multi-lingual capabilities and a user-friendly touch screen interface designed to make immediate use simple. Dov Ofer, the Chief Executive Officer of Lumenis, reports that the new "compact solution for light-based skin treatments continues our mission of creating world-class technology that ultimately helps physicians grow profitable practices."

Doctors clearly agree. Mr. Guevara, of the Ferrara Dermatology Clinic in Grosse Point, MI, stated that "Lumenis listened to what doctors, like myself, were asking for in a multi-application system.
