Real Housewives of Orange County Star's Sun Damaged Skin is Treated with a Facelift
Real Housewives of Orange County Star Lynne Curtin has a facelift to restore her sun damaged skin.
As we age, the collagen and elastin in our skin stretch and are damaged over time. The sun's rays are one of the most damaging of all effects and those in sunny climates like southern California know all too well just how bad it can be. Bravo's Real Housewives of Orange County star Lynne Curtin recently underwent a facelift procedure and her visits to cosmetic surgeon Dr. Milind Ambe were featured on the show. Dr. Ambe describes this procedure as designed for those who've suffered sun damage and are looking to refresh their appearance. Another Newport Beach cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Thomas Barnes of the Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center, is also familiar with treating those who've suffered sun damage. Dr. Barnes said, "Lynne Curtin is an ideal case of getting plastic surgery for rejuvenation. She wants to look better and have her external appearance match how she feels inside. It is precisely the type of practice we at the Newport Beach Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center believe in." Facelift Results of Lynne Curtin by Dr. Milind Ambe Dr. Ambe's procedure, which he calls the Orange County Facelift, repositions sagging skin on the face, and pulls the lower half of the face upwards. The incisions for the face lift are along the hairline and earline so they aren’t as visible. Pockets of fat are then removed from below the skin to achieve a smooth appearance and excess skin is removed to eliminate sagging. When asked about this particular procedure, Dr. Barnes said "The only difference is we would have used Twilight anesthesia instead of general anesthesia, which could be more dangerous to the patient." For those looking for a non-surgical option, fractional resurfacing procedures are a great way to reduce the appearance of sun spots on the face and chest and can provide skin tightening. It is important to note though that the results of a non-surgical treatment will not be as significant as those from a surgical option.
