Announcing Syneron's New e2: Combined Fractional and Sublative Rejuvenation to Attack Age Spots
Saturday, March 06, 2010 10:03 PM
The e2 treatment is a color blind fractional resurfacing device which uses RF energy to rejuvenate skin and treat age spots, brown spots and other pigment issues
At the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting today, Syneron (ELOS) announced the release of their new e2 treatment. The e2 is a combination of fractional epidermal and dermal Sublative Rejuvenation treatment for improved skin tone and texture.
Dr. Lori Brightman, a board certified dermatologist at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York explained the new technology to us exclusively. "What is different about the new e2 is that the original tip for the device had 64 pins on it which delivered energy deeper into the dermis to build collagen and address fine lines, wrinkles and cause some skin tightening. The new e2 tip has 144 pins which penetrate the skin more superficially, at the layer where pigment resides, which is what the e2 is targeting." Brightman went on to say "using the combination treatments, I can address a complete range of skin rejuvenation concerns with reliable, consistent results."
According to Syneron, Sublative Rejuvenation is an optimal treatment for patients with mild to moderate wrinkle, laxity, scarring or pigmentation who don't need the overly aggressive treatment of fractional ablative laser but require more significant results than what a non-ablative application can provide.
