Kendra Wilkinson Reveals Her Stretch Marks
Playmates have mommy bellies too!
It may seem as though celebrities don't suffer the body woes of the rest of the world after having children. Kendra Wilkinson of E!'s Kendra and former Girl Next Door is showing her stretch marks, and she's not thrilled about them. The new season of Kendra premieres March 14 at 10:00 pm EST during which Kendra talks about her post baby belly. The former Playboy model is disturbed by her weight, and her stomach's appearance. Lamenting that it's been a month since her son, Hank Jr., was born, she says she hasn't lost a pound. Stretch marks and loose skin are common following not only pregnancy, but weight gain or loss. Dr. Lori Brightman of the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York says, "Stretch marks are difficult to treat. The only proven treatments include fractional lasers, like Fraxel, and fractional bipolar RF, sublative rejuvenation, as well as pulsed dye lasers for the red or pink stretch marks." These technologies can stimulate collagen growth to tighten the skin, making stretch marks look less visible, while also evening out skin tone. Return visits are necessary for each treatment to achieve optimum results. "It requires multiple treatments to help rebuild the collagen," says Dr. Brightman. If you're planning to have stretch mark reduction procedures done to get ready for bikini season, you should start now to ensure enough time is available for a full course of treatment.
