Highly artistic and sculpted results along with peer acceptance are driving demand among male patients interested in highlighting their already fit physique.
As cosmetic surgery becomes more widely accepted among men, body contouring which is specially designed to bring out and enhance the male musculature is becoming more popular. Hi-Def techniques using the latest in lipo sculpting devices such as Vaser and SmartLipo Triplex are seeing a huge demand, as already healthy and fit patients seek greater definition.

"I think male body contouring is becoming more popular because of a number of different reasons," says Dr. David Broadway, world renowned Denver based cosmetic surgeon who is partly responsible for developing the high definition body sculpting. "First is because of the knowledge that this procedure exists. Once it gets into the community, one person tells the next and those patients are starting to come to see us." He says that the word of mouth is spreading in gyms and amongst those who exercise regularly, but aren't able to see the results they desire. As patients begin talking about it, it becomes more accepted so those who were curious can feel more comfortable seeking out physician consultations.
Most commonly, men seek out treatment in the traditional areas of the abdomen and the flanks. Also, thanks to Dr. Broadway's hi-def technique, more precise sculpting is also available. He says, "We're able to sculpt arms now to get more definition there. We're able to bring out the deltoids, the triceps and the biceps, so we're starting to see more patients interested in that."

Another common treatment sought by male patients is gynecomastia - or male breasts. Many men suffer from this ailment, even those who are in otherwise good shape. As Dr. Broadway describes, "Gynecomastia has been and will continue to be an interest for our patients. They are trying to not only reduce the total volume of the breast but actually to get some contour and to bring out the pectoralis major muscle."
One key difference between Dr. Broadway's treatment and similar procedures offered by other physicians is that volume isn't just removed, it's added back in other, more beneficial areas. "Often times, in combination with reducing volume, we're actually adding volume in different areas in the male chest. We'll reduce the breast area and the lower portion of the chest and then actually add volume to the superior portion to give more definition."
This process of removing fat from key areas and then replacing it to add volume in others provides a beautiful, chiseled result that is many steps beyond what physicians were able to offer their patients just a few years ago. As more male patients see the results that are now possible, interest is growing in these artistic procedures.
High Definition Body Sculpting Requires Special Training - Patients who want to show off their athleticism by removing key areas of fat turn to hi-def body training solutions, and physicians who want to provide that service turn to specific training to provide the best results.
Hi-Definition Liposculpture Accentuates Athletic Bodies - Small changes can make a big difference when you carefully remove fat with an intent to do more than just reduce size, but actually reveal the patient's underlying muscle structure.
Male Body Contouring Sees Rise in Popularity - Highly artistic and sculpted results along with peer acceptance are driving demand among male patients interested in highlighting their already fit physique.
