In spite of an international trend toward smaller-size, lower-profile implants, many Fresno cosmetic surgery patients are opting for larger-volume breast augmentation. Fresno cosmetic surgeon and breast augmentation specialist Dr. Robert Yoho explains why.

Fresno, California (PRWEB) June 7, 2009 -- While many American and European breast augmentation surgeons report that their patients are scaling back on the size of implants they choose, Fresno breast augmentation cosmetic surgeon Dr. Robert Yoho (http://www.dryoho.com) says the majority of his patients are actually choosing to go larger than the average sizes in years past. Dr. Yoho, whose implant options cover the full range from smaller to very large, attributes this change to new techniques that allow for results that look natural, even with larger implants.

As Dr. Yoho explains, the actual volume of the implant is only one of the criteria that determine how "large" a woman's breasts will appear after surgery. The patient's amount of existing breast tissue, the width of her breast implants' "base," the extent to which the implants project forward from her chest, and even the position of the implants in relation to her muscles and breast tissue all play a role in the apparent size of her new breasts.
