In another story aired on Philadelphia NBC 10 titled "Thinner In An Instant, " Cherie Bank reports on the controversy and success surrounding mesotherapy. One of Dr. Greenberg’s patients interviewed at the top of the story lost 16 inches in just 2 weeks. The actual treatment involves dozens of tiny injections in the problem area.
Mesotherapy is not FDA approved, however, all of the drugs used in the mixture are FDA approved, which allows the physician to use the medications as they see fit. Dr. Greenberg says it’s safe for healthy people and has been used in France for over 50 years. He also believes it works best for problem areas, although some doctors do use mesotherapy for overall weight loss.
