What is Active FX? ActiveFX is a fractional CO2 laser procedure performed in a single treatment with minimal patient downtime. During the procedure, a high-energy beam of laser light is used to smooth out lines, wrinkles and scars, remove brown spots and other irregularities.

Active FX Facts

  • Minimal downtime
  • 20 minute procedure time
  • Immediate results after only 1 treatment

How does Active FX work? The latest advancement in the treatment of aging skin, Bridge Therapy is a family of fractionated procedures delivered by the UltraPulse Encore CO2 laser. The most common procedure, ActiveFX, is performed in a single treatment with minimal patient downtime. During fractional treatment, only a portion of the skin's surface is treated by the laser, leaving small 'bridges' of untouched skin. This technique makes the healing process much quicker and enables patients to get back to their normal life styles sooner.

What are the risks of Active FX? Commonly redness and swelling will occur and usually last for 4-7 days, depending on the strength of the treatment. The treated skin will peel and new skin will be underneath. There is also always a risk of scarring or infection.
