What is a Mommy Makeover?

As recently shown on Mommy Makeover on Entertainment Tonight (ET)A Mommy Makeover is a term used to typically describe a combination of one or more procedures to correct adverse negative effects of pregnancy, childbirth and nursing. The most common procedures included in a Mommy Makeover are a tummy tuck, liposuction and a breast surgery involving a breast lift, breast reduction and/or a breast augmentation. Unfortunately in most houses, the wife takes care of her husband and her children first, usually putting her own needs last. In fact, in the past most women were embarrassed or ashamed to even consider getting surgery for themselves when that money could be used for household items or put away in college funds. However, many of today’s moms don’t feel they should sacrifice the way they look just because they’ve had children. In fact, they know that their own self esteem and desire to feel sexy and desired will reflect in their relationship and their day to day attitude. In discussions with doctors who perform this procedure and women investigating the Mommy Makeover procedure it is apparent that the women just want their old bodies back. They typically don't want large breast augmentation, they want the volume, shape and firmness restored from their "pre-pregnancy" days. Other procedures frequently included in a Mommy Makeover package when needed might include liposuction, labiaplasty, vaginal rejuvenation, and/or body contouring to name a few.
