Dr. Tess Mauricio is a Board Certified Dermatologist specializing in laser treatments, liposculpture, Contour Threadlift, noninvasive rejuvenation, acne and skin cancer. She is a graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of University of California San Diego.
Dr. Mauricio is an international authority in the field of aesthetic laser treatments and has educated hundreds of physicians worldwide. She is a published author, and a respected speaker in workshops and conferences. Dr. Mauricio is one of the youngest woman to ever hold the position of President of the San Diego Society for Dermatologic Surgery. An innovator, she heads cutting edge research in the laser treatment of cellulite, stretch marks and skin rejuvenation.
Dr. Mauricio has trained and worked with world renowned leaders in the field of dermatology. While earning her medical degree, Dr. Mauricio was awarded numerous academic honors including the Stanford University Medical Student Scholarship, the Stanford University Center of Excellence Minority Research Scholarship, the Stanford University Pfeiffer Research Scholarship, and was one of the selected few to be featured in the Medical Student Scholar handbook.
Dr. Mauricio is a regular television and radio personality with appearances on The Wellness Hour, "The County Cooks with Chef Larry", "World Talk Radio" and on KFMB radio for their weekly "Looking Good" segment. With her flair for fashion, Dr. Mauricio was named one of the "Best Dressed Woman of San Diego."
Dr. Mauricio's outside interests include singing, cooking and gardening. In her free time, she cherishes time spent with husband, Dr. James Lee, their children, Jana and Michael and her close-knit extended family.
With Dr. Mauricio's artistic sense, extensive training and experience, her ultimate mission is to promote self esteem, build confidence and improve her patients’ quality of life by utilizing the most advanced techniques available today in a caring and supportive environment.
