Intimate Rejuvenation and Innovative Surgery Center (I.R.I.S.) 
Karen Starkey, MD founded the Intimate Rejuvenation and Innovative Surgery Center (I.R.I.S.) in an effort to provide her patients with the advantages of minimally invasive surgical techniques that are safer and more reliable options to traditional surgery. These surgeries are both cosmetic and gynecological.
“Offering Choice” to her patients has been Dr. Starkey’s mission. Whether it is looking better with the HCG diet or feeling better with Vaginal Rejuvenation, patients are offered the choice. "
As part of that mission she became one of the first women to received advanced training in Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation and Designer Laser Vaginoplasty and was the first female doctor to be trained and provide Smartlipo laser lipolysis and now works with Cynosure to demonstrate Smartlipo for other physicians. She also has received training in menopausal symptoms and their treatment from the North American Menopause Society and specializes in bio-identical hormone therapy with an offering. She has a special interest in anti-aging medicine and overall healthier living.
Dr. Starkey received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at the University of British Columbia, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Queen's University in Canada. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Western Ontario's Faculty of London, Ontario and did her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the University of Western Ontario. She is Board Certified in Canada and in the United States. Dr. Starkey is Adjunct Assistant Professor with the A.T. Still University. She is an Associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
